I know I have been WAY too busy to fish this summer but I was wondering is anyone besides CE getting out at all this summer? I see a post here and there about going out. I haven't been out in over a month!!
Gonna hit the lake this weekend though bright an early..then come in before it gets too HOT!!

Been to Rayburn in June and early July, fishing was good in June but the hotter it got the slower the fishing was. Plan on going to Rayburn this Saturday with my new used boat. Takes two hours to get to Rayburn, but it is worth the time. Will launch at Shirley Creek- north end of lake. Will post a report. Has anyone fished Richland-Chambers lately? I'm 2 hours from it also.

I missed the tourney at Lonestar the other night.......and it was won with something like 5 pounds.......guys said the fishing was really slow.....so I guess I didn't miss much......it is just way too hot......hopefully the weather breaks a bit by the end of sept.
Chris, I fish on Saturdays but only in the mornings. I get out there before daybreak and I'm off the water before 10 am, just to hot to stay any longer and the fishing really sucks after the sun gets up anyway. Not that good even in the mornings now but any time on the water is better than being at work.
Yes sir, I go early and come in early.
Fisher gal and I fish at least once a week up until this week, however we only fished about 4 hrs. each time and come in. Going to start up again about the first of Sept.

chris, uncle sam been keeping you busy or the real boss (mama)?? lol. if i didn't get out in a month they would have to give me meds and keep me out of the public eye..it wouldn't be pretty......p.s if you ever get the chance to get down to amistad let me know i'll try to break away and go...maybe after you get back!!

Went down to Amistad for 4 days in July, then again the first week of August.
I'm getting to old to stay out ALL day......but we did it anyway
It's still hard for me to drive that far, and lay up on my backside when the fish are biteing.
Just got back from Conchas lake in Eastern N.Mex. Typical summer bite, some active fish in the morning then go deep when the sun gets high..
