East Texas Weekend

I was headed to Fork to fish, however MediaBass canceled all three or four of their divisions they had on tap, Christian Anglers canceled at Lake Ray Hubbard which was even closer to home. I then remembered that Irving Bass Club had a tourney on Lake O' Pines in deep East Texas. So, off I went! Sat AM it was drizzling and in the low 30's. This is a solo scored club and this fella was helping me hold my stringer for Sat. Not too bad for a lake that is about to dry up
Every single fish came on two baits; a HeavyCover spinner bait or a StrikeWorks Flippin' Finesse jig tipped with a V&M baby mud bug trailer


And the bigger fish deserved a solo picture so...........

I honestly didn't know I was going to Pines until late, late afternoon Fri.
My Fork tourney (with many others) got canceled, so we decided what the heck
