    COASTAL VA. GUYS...WARNING!!!

As a La. guy whose Momma is from near Callao, Va. (and I spent some summers there on the Chesapeake)....

    Please TAKE THE STORM SERIOUSLY!!!!!

Prepare NOW with extras in case power is lost a few days, board up what winds can break and store what winds can move easily....
Unless you have been in 95mph winds in your house (I was as a teen 1965 for Hurricane Betsy)...
you may be terrified when you see what winds over 75mph or 95 or 105mph can do...
    be safe...and good luck...

I'm terrified already!! The wife forgot the crab dip....
We have done this a few times before....
I rode Hugo (Cat 5) out in the house along the coast in SC. At 75 mph this is a stout breeze at a Cat 2 and by the time it gets here it will be a Cat 1.

The power will go out. My Generac will kick on and the microwave pop corn will be ready by the time I get out of the shower to watch TV.
I'm good for a couple weeks.

Most of the tubs have been pulled out of the marinia and are setting up on blocks. Some opted to go anchor out in the bay. The rest that's tied up will get pounded pretty good later on tonight I guess.
