i have a 1999 Evinrude 150FI, over the winter i'm looking into a jackplate, i'll have to pull the motor, can i get a lift ring for this motor? i looked under the cowl, but it doesn't look like there is a place to bolt one up...

Check Bobs Machine. They have one that bolts to the flywheel.

My Johnson has lifting eyes made into the block
on either side, staggered slightly for a level lift.
Are you SURE you don't have something like that?
The DI motors have alot of stuff around those lifting eyes on the motor, There is a lifting ring that slips over the top of the crank shaft with a single bolt that holds it on.
