No BIG TX Series next year???

Anyone know why the FLW and B.A.S.S. Elite both decided to cancel the tours on the Potomac for '08?? Not that I am complaining but it just seemed weird that both canceled their stops at the same time??

Re: No BIG TX Series next year??? (EJP)

The last few years the tours have changed a bunch. Amistad, California lakes,Classic in Feb. Next year they dropped California which i'm sure made things easier without the hook in the mouth thing in question. I personally think Potomac should get a years break from the big tours. The big tours have all but dropped Kerr lake which was a fairly regular stop and picked up Smith Mountain it seems. I for one didn't like the classic being moved to Feb. They made it sound like we all want to see bigger bags. I enjoyed watching the 3 rivers in Pittsburg, small fish but a real close tourny. One thing for sure, with the classic in Feb. it will never be above South Carolina. Say goodbye to a northern Classic.

If they don't get their act together (ESPN) , you may be saying good by to the classic all together.

Eric, they usually skip a year, but the Stren Series should be back. Have to wait to see the 2008 schedule when it comes out shortly.
