More often than not, I can get away fishing a ton of other bigger baits for post spawn largemouth here in the northeast. BUT, I've had plenty of days where the shaky head crushes everything else. Something about that presentation that always does exceptionally well this time of the year when they won't eat anything else.

My buddy Andrew and I went out the other day and I put at least 20 in the boat in a short session to his 4. He lived and died by the jig, swimbait, and t-rigged craw. I kept trying those and many other baits, but every time I picked that shaky head back up, I out fish in the boat. Just need to keep working on options for it to get some bigger fish!
