Forgive my ignorance, but I'm confused about VRO. I recently bought a 1988 Evinrude 50. The cover says "50 VRO". From what I understand, VRO means that the engine mixes the oil for you and no oil must be added to tank. But previous owner tells me I should add oil to tank at 50:1. Further, I can't find any oil tank or any way for engine to *get* oil to mix. Whats the story?

(Sorry but I can't find a model number or serial number anywhere on motor).
