To All Federation Nation Members:

As the statewide tournament circuit wrapped up on Southside, I wanted to write a quick note of thanks to all the individuals that make the state tournaments possible. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication by many individuals to run a successful event. First, my tournament team of Nick Kitta (did not even fish the tournament), Mike Kimmel (Also did not fish the tournament), Ralph Kimmel, and Josh Giran did a great job with the tournament meeting, checking boats in, and the weigh-in. The weigh-in went smooth on both days and was completed in a very quick manner. Also, Wayne Proctor, Harry Olechowicz, and Dave Kreutzer did a lot of the little things before and during the weigh-in to make it a successful tournament. Finally, Pittsburgh Cruzin Cooler helped out with the weigh-in by using their motorized coolers to get the fish back in the water in a timely manner. If you are interested in a Cruzin Cooler or would like more information, please contact Robert at 724-448-3808.

Another thing that made this a special event was the great sponsors that the Federation has gained over the last few months. They provided many prizes that participants were able to win at the meeting. Motor Guide and Mercury provide the Federation with great discounts on many items. The discounts allowed the Federation to give away a Motor Guide Trolling Motor, a Mercury Prop, and 3 gallons of Mercury oil. Honey Hole Tackle (http://www.honeyholetackle.com/), Thump Plastics (http://www.thumpsoftplastics.com/), and Angler Ingenuity (Contact Nick at 724-953-3696) provided gift certificates and discounts on their great fishing tackle. Please support these great companies and check out their tackle!

Congratulations to Rick Lane for winning and having a great tournament! Rick won by almost 3 pounds and for his effort went home with over $3000. Also, a congratulations goes out to Kane Stein for winning Angler Of The Year in the statewide circuit and receiving a free entrance into the State Classic! Thanks to all participants for participating in the tournament! The participants worked hard to bring many fish to the scales and showed great sportsmanship throughout. There was no better representative of great sportsmanship than Jack Adragna! Jack went out of his way to help a participant get back after their motor went down. If you have any questions or concerns about the tournament or would like to join the Federation Nation, please contact me at kimmel65@hotmail.com.

Sincerely,

Christopher M. Kimmel
