    Minn Kota Fortrex 80# 24v Won’t Quit Running

    The TM in title will not stop when I let off the button. Even if I take the push button off it keeps running. Or even if I some how get it to stop. It’ll start running on its own again out of the blue. Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you.

    I would say a bad reed switch. Does it turn off when the switch on the side of the foot pedal is off? A reed switch is around $20.00 and a board is around $170.00. Look under the top of the foot pedal where the push button is. there are 2 little black wires. Snip one of them. If the motor stops it is the reed switch. If it continues to run it is the board.
