The motor has been made for that manufacturer, part of a package deal. IE T=Tracker, I think Stratos was a V.

I have pondered this as well. I cannot find any reference to the "R" designation but it may mean "Recreational Outboard"

200 = 200hp
SL = 60 deg V 6 Trim & Tilt
EI = 1991
D = Model Run or Suffix
Now this is interesting because they did not make a 200hp 60 deg V6, only 150hp & 175hp faststrike. Now the 175hp Fastrike put out around 195hp. Very Very cool motor.

Actually this motor is a Johnson GT V6 3litre. 20" shaft & also available with a counter rotating gearcase.
Does it have limited edition decals??

Well Joe, YOU have a absolute gem havn't you. RARE as RARE. A limited edition "Second Effort" V6 speciality.
Joe, PLEASE can you take lots of pictures & post them. I have NO pictures of these motors & they are so rare. Yours is a beautiful example. Gearcase, Powerhead, EVERYTHING from lots of angles. A TRUE COLLECTORS MOTOR.
Do you know what mods were done to this motor by Second Effort?
The model number does not appear because it was NOT a recreational motor but a hand built speciality built to order. Very Very cool.
