Going down there next weekend and have never fished that lake before.
Wheels that is one of my home town lakes. Normaly I could put you on some good fish but the lake is 19' above normal today and still comming up. All the boat ramps are closed so you have to put your boat in the water in the bar ditches. Lake is dirty and lots of floating debris so it will be really tough fishing. If you have a graph with GPS try Black Sulpher cove way in the back there is a creek that runns in and it always holds fish when the lake is up. Flipping spinnerbaits in the brush always works with the water high like this. Also down by the dam along the rip-rap with spinnerbaits and crank baits (fire tiger Bandits) are good. Fish all the way back into the cove on the East side of the dam, when you get back in there you will find more rip-rap. Also fish the parking lots in the park area they will have about 5' of water on them and will hold a ton of fish with the water up. We have a Tournament there on Saturday ( might be re-scheduled due to lake level) so if your still around come to the lake and watch some of the guys and see whats working and where. It will be tough fishing but like I said fish the roads and parking lots. You probably wont cant BIG fish but should catch lots of numbers. If your graph doesnt have GPS get a map from one of the local stores so you can find the roads and ramps. Wish the lake was normal for your trip because Pine Creek can be awesome this time of year......

Ninteen feet...wow. We have a tourney scheduled there Sunday, but it looks like lake levels may postpone the tourney until July. Thanks for the heads up.![]()
Lake now at 32' above normal level. Corp says they dont expect to re-open the lake until around July 15th. Fishing has been awesome up in the parking lots last few days we have averaged about 35 to 40 fish in the evenings on buzz baits and crank baits. Hugo lake is about 23' high and we have been wearing out the crappy. We caught 83 yesterday in about 4 hours.
