I have a 2000 J150PLSSC # G04784063.
I know to back the motor into the water and have it secured to the trailer. I have a timing light.
The prop is a Renegade 13 3/4 X 25 and the motor turns 5,000 RMP WOT.
Any need for concern?
Thank you,
Barry

At first glance, it appears you're over propped. I believe you want to prop it to 5500 RPMs.

Go Sun Devils!
You need an ignition analyzer to set your timing properly on that motor.
I got an analyzer. HAHA
And there is one for sale in the FS section too.
I would go down in pitch too if I were you. You need to be turning it a little higher.
