    Power pole mounting question.

    Mounting a 5.5 cmc jack plate to my r70, currently running the sandwich style brackets when mounting plate is it best to mount the sandwich bracket between motor and plate or plate and transom? Thanks in advanced

    I always mounted mine between the engine and the plate,three times so far,no issues. Just be sure to torque the bolts, 50# to the transom, 90# to the plate.
