is it worth putting efi on it?
In my opinion... no.... not 3800 worth to me............
yeah thats what i am thinking also. I could almost buy a decent used motor for that that has efi on it already. Is there anyone else out there that makes an EFI kit for my motor??

Brucato makes an EFI system for your motor. Surprised you haven't been following the OMC adventure in BWB Magazine.

Yep old John boy went and blew it up! Right about the same price as Mad's. I think Tony said he wouldn't do another one for OMC.
yeah i have been reading the rebuild in bwb mag but dang 3700 bucks i could buy a good strong like 2000 motor for that couldnt I? its just that mine takes 10 min to crank its aweful but once it finally fires it cranks all day no prob
Might want to get yours tuned.... `10 minutes f cranking it can't be righht!
yeah its the wildest thing i have ever seen i guess i just need to take it to someone that really knows what they are doing. I am serious its unreal the length of time that it takes to get it to crank. About the time i get ready to pull up the ramp and say its not gonna crank this time it fires off and runs fine the rest of the day it just in the mornings
You may want to test your QUICK start feature.
yeah that quick start feature doesnt seem to work for me or at least i cant get it to
What is your starting procedure? Are yuou holding the key in while you crank it?
There is a fine line between \"FISHING\" and just standing in the boat going through the motions!!!![]()
You might want to check the wires going to the sendor. Mine took a chit this past week. Worked like a champ then the next morning...nothing...wouldn't start. Once she started no problems for the rest of the day. Came home and started to go through the manual and noticed where the wires are attached. I strated looking around and whamo!! A wire was broken off. Spliced on a new piece and routed it so it doesn't rub and back in business.
I guess you really didn't need that whole story but I enjoyed telling it!!![]()

ha ha ha good story though ok i might be doing it wrong but i prime the buld the put the key in turn it to the run position and hold it in for about 15 sec. then i reprime the bulb until tight then i push the key in and turn it to crank the motor but nothing happens for about 10 min then finally after lots of words and thoughts on just saying screw it i will buy a new motor it finally cranks.once it cranks it spits and spats around for a min smokinh up the entire lake then it dies then i crank it again and it finally fires off and runs like a champ for the rest of the day. I dont understand what i am doing wrong but any help would be greatly appreciated. I usually run the high grade gas in the motor and evinrude XD 50 part synthetic oil.
Pretty much make sure your motor is level and not tilted up when trying to start. Turn key to on press choke hold for 10 seconds, crank, repeat. Repeat once more if no fire attempt without choke. Verify quick start feature is working.
