Active Target / Structure Scan 3D ethernet routing

Has anybody here installed Active Target on a boat network that also includes Structure Scan 3D? AT is set to deliver tomorrow.

Plan is to mount the AT box in the starboard locker next to the SS3D module. Thoughts on whether i need to run another ethernet up to the bow direct to the Carbon 12, or can i simply plug it in to the 3rd/open ethernet port on the SS3D module?

It's going to be tight getting the AT transducer cable pulled as it is, without adding the additional ethernet given that i just pulled a duplex 10ga wire dedicated power run to both the bow and console and it was a tight pull.

    Thanks!

I would suggest you tested out the AT before pulling in the transducer cable as quite a few transducers have been bad out of the box.
Might save you some head aches.

If I install the module under the console can I just plug the ethernet cable into the console Carbon or does it need to be plugged into the bow Carbon? I think it shouldn't matter as long as the two are connected via ethernet already, which they are.

Yeah I have 2 HDS LIVE units - console and bow and networked If I place the module under the console do I need to run cables to the bow ??

Yes. Regardless of where you mount the AT module, the transducer will be on the trolling motor so you want to run the supplied ethernet cable to the bow unit. The bow unit will be the “main” unit and since the bow and console units are networked via ethernet, the console unit will “share” the AT images.
