Intermittent problem rough idle, stall, rev limiter when accelerating.

Advice please,

Boat set in the garage from February till October. 2004 Mercury 225 Optimax. Cranking battery failure. Install new battery, engine ran at idle to the no-wake buoy. Went to accelerate, came up on plane and all of a sudden, it stalled just like it ran out of fuel.

Check fuel pressure, no fuel in VST. Suspected lift pump. Replaced mechanical pump and filter. Found no debris in the vst. Took it to the lake, same problem. Replace the low pressure pump. Now I have good fuel pressure with an overheating problem. Replaced water pump impeller. Now ready to test drive. No power, place in reverse to back off the trailer and not enough power to back off the trailer. Rev-limiter and constant warning tone. Temp is running around 110. Smart gauge is working in all modes except for trim which reads 0.0.

I am at my limits with this thing. Please advise. Thank you
