HDS Gen 2 Touch units and the Lowrance Ghost trolling motor

I've done enough research to know that I won't be able to control the trolling motor with my HDS unit. However, is it a straight "plug and play" when it comes to hooking up the Ghost transducer to my HDS units?

I currently have both HDS units networked via eithernet and also have two devices connected to both units via a NMEA network; HDS side/down scan LSS-1 transducer and a stern temperature gauge.

Just trying to determine which ducer I'd want to get with the Ghost if I end up ordering one. I would love to upgrade my HDS units but that and a new TM isn't in the budget right now. I'd be a very happy camper with a new trolling motor that had spot lock. Honestly, I'll probably use the spot lock feature 20 times more than my LSS side scan transducer.

Any advice/input would be greatly appreciated. Thx

The ghost comes with the HDI transducer. The HDS Gen 2 Touch supports the HDI.

thanks. I was wondering if I needed some sort of adapter to hook up the HDS7 Gen 2 touch to the Ghost?

The ghost has a 9 pin hdi and your gen2 uses a 7 pin hdi. Yes, you need an adapter. If you don’t care about water temp, then I can give you one of the adapter numbers. If you want water temp, you’ll have to get the part number from someone in the Lowrance section.

Thanks! I probably won’t need temp from the ghost because I already have a temp sensor in my NMEA network.

This one will work, but won’t give temperature. The picture will only stay up for 7 days, so write down the part number on the btm right.
