I know I stated in another post that I stopped fishin' "T"- town. I am going to plan on going sometime next week just to see what I have been missing for the past 10 years. Any advise as to what to not do and look out for while on Tuckertown?

it's elodea,not hydrilla.the slimy stuff is black algea.it's also in lake gaston.
dont tell the state they will throw in a 1000 grass carp and year later the place will be a big mud hole.
there is 2 diff types of weed,,,,,,,the black muckie stink weed is like slimie alge the other is hydrilla...could be some elodia but its has less leaf (3) per ring of growth and is mostly a deep weed GREAT stuff was what had Murrary at it's peak before the drawn downs,chemicals & AssCarp. It spreads and takes root so if you drive thru it all those clippings are potental new fields of weed futher down stream. Lake Norman should be so lucky as to be down stream.

The lake is infested with this crap . Today was my first trip this year and did not know they killed allot of the grass but it seems since they did it is worse. As far as being a mud hole I think it already is
Was there today also. Had a fun time with Speedtrap and caught some very nice fish....best 5 went 20+

Thanks again Steve, really leared a lot not just about TT but fishing in general. Should have returned to TT today but thought the weather was going to be worst than yesterday, guess that is what I get for thinking. Going to see about returning this weekend. Thanks again.
Thats the fun of meeting people here and going fishing...seeing how someone else approaches fishing conditions compared to what you would do. I feel sure you would not have fished that strong current or even ventured up the river, but now you have the confidence to give it a try. Who would have thought that one little nothing strech of bank had such nice fish on it :)

You name the date and we'll do it. I was going back to TT this morning but going to the gas station last night to tank up the boat and lost my trailer tag. Going to DMV in a min to get another. I do not know if I asked but how are the crows on TT during the weekends?
