We enjoyed this last year, so I wanted to post it here this year to try to get some more participation.

For those who have not done it in the past:
Basically, this is taking a kid from Children's Home over in Thomasville on a fishing trip. Each boat has one kid, one counselor, and you the 'boater' providing the transportation. The kid has fishing gear. You can aid as well if you wish, allowing the kid to use some of yours, but it is not necessary. Kid's age is ~10 - ~18 yrs old. Girls and guys, and the ratio last year was about three girls to each guy. Some have never seen a boat, a fish, or a rod. Some are pretty proficient anglers. Some have fished to eat.

There are prizes for each category, and we have lots and lots of cagegorys. Best Bluegill, Most Bluegill, Largest Crappie, Largest Bass, Largest Catfish, Most Bass, Most Catfish, etc etc. you get the idea. My livewell was so full of bluegill last year I was sure we would get the quanity award.. the lil girl that beat us had 3 times what I had in the livewell, at least.
