    New Music to Rip

My older son just turned me on to some new music (well, new for me).

Slayer, Soilwork, In Flames, lamb of god, and 1349. (Who ever heard of a drummer with the name of "Frost"?)

Also, I just got the new Metallica CD, Death Magnet. FYI, some of the songs are good, and some don't impress me.

OK Zook, which ones do you like?

Didn't know you were a metal head Jerry. I've only heard air play of new AC/DC album but of course they aren't like Metalica. I'm more classic/grunge band kind of guy with some (well a bunch) of Indie bands tossed in. My head banging days are done.

Fred, I was a "Rush" kind of guy until my two boys turned me on to the heavy metal stuff...I was a professional drummer (way back in the day) and I really like the high-speed drumming of today's metal bands. It's got me thinking that maybe I should get a drum kit and start playing (for fun) again.

(I ain't seen no "stroller" comments lately, have you?)

Oh, I know you have a ton of metal. This was just some stuff my older son had on CD. I had stopped in to let him hear the new Metallica (which he's not a big fan of), and he pulled out some of his music (a lot of it is foreign bands) knowing how I like the drumming. Basically, he decided what I'd like to burn because he knows what I like in drumming.

Did you fish today? Yea, I should have gone to Tillery instead of HR.

Oh, I forgot about Slipknot. I got their latest CD, "All Hope Is Gone", and I like it. I'd like to see how well they perform live, especially with three drummers! Those masks got to go, though!
