    Losing bulb prime? Maybe?

Last year while fishing my boat ran out of fuel (at least I thought). Fuel guage showed between 1/4 and 1/2. When this happened I tried to prime the bulb but it wouldn't prime. I didn't try to long though and chalked it up to an empty tank. Ran it "some" this spring no problems. Sunday I was out and it did the same thing it did last fall, engine started cutting out and finally died. Tried priming the bulb and it would get hard then the next squeeze it would lose it. Finally got it going and it did this two other times. Today same thing happened. Bulb would get hard, we would run for awhile then poof, no prime.

Where should I start? Replace the bulb then then the fuel lines? If it is not either of these what could it be?

Long question but thanks for taking time to read and answer it.

You may want to pull the fuel barb off the tank and knock out the anti-siphon valve.
