    Champlain

Do VT and NY have a reciprocal agreement or do you need both licenses to fish there?

I assume if one were to fish a t there under the mercy of a boater, one would need a quebec license?

Just fished there for a week with nhbass. We were told that we only needed Vt license if we launched and pulled from Vt.

Thanks Jerry, I don't know who would go to Quebec, but if I am fishing a tournament there as a nonboater, I dont have much say in the issue

Cant think of anytime i have heard of anyone going all the way up there....So much fishable water in the states you couldnt cover it all in a few months...I would also check the rules as i would guess they would put it off limits with so many people not allowed in

I guess that is a good point as well.

It appears that if only buying one, VT is the way to go.

Tell them you have a conviction and you cant go into Canada

They would not let a 50 year old guy from our club go up because he had a misdemeanor conviction for pot,,,When he was 18

You can get away with a vermont license as long as you are not fishing southbay or any rivers or tributaries on the NY side of the lake. This link explains it the best. Just click on full map after you open the page.
