    Non Boater on St Clair

    Have a club Tx in a few weeks and i have never been there before so decided it was best to go as a non boater what should i take to cover my basis, any help would be great

    Here is what has worked for me. Drop shot with watermelon red fleck Dream shot
    worm. Tube Purple Pumpkin from Provider. Jerkbaits, Square bills, Chatterbait and
    Trds in Canada craw color. Good luck.

    Yes, if the wind is up and can't get out on the lake you will want that flipping stick for the canals and boat basins.

    Only had to do that once or twice in 6 years though. Can’t hurt to bring it, but if your boater wants to cash a check, it likely won’t be done chasing ditch pickles.

    not really set up to fish smallies so i think this is what i am going to take would this work

    Spinning rod-drop shot
    crank rod- squarebill
    casting rod-tube
    casting rod-swing head
    back up flip rod

    I always have a spinnerbait tied on for St Clair, they don’t always want it but when they do it can be some of the most fun you’ll ever have!

    Either chartreuse or white with willow blades. I was there Friday and they didn’t want a spinnerbait when I thought with the windy conditions they’d crush it. Still was able to get them on tubes and drop shot.
