    Boat work weekend..or day

I usually help a few guys out with there boats every spring,Water pumps, oil changes ect..Have gotten a few IM's about if people can come...Its open to all who want to come

Usually a Saterday afternoon after the shop closes or a Sunday is best once the weather gets a little better...You bring your parts and your boats and we all help each other get them all done.. I have just about all the tools we could possibly need.

Will see how the weather goes and when we can get everyone together

Re: Boat work weekend..or day (JerryT)

Let me know if you want some help.
I do all my own service work to my boat and trailer.
    Been doing it for years.
It would be great to see some of you before the Northern.

    Jeff
Talked to Steve tonight....We where thinking March also unless it gets freekishly warmer before then..I think the water pump is going to run you abput 30 bucks..6-7 bucks a spark plug unless you find them cheaper somewhere..Probly no need for spark plug wires..Get a water fuel seperator filter if you have one set up on your boat

    Re: (JerryT)

That's cool Jerry, I may need some work. I have a 2001 YAM 200 3.1L. I've had it for about 1 1/2 years, lightly used and haven't done anything except add ringfree and stabil. When I bought it the plugs and lower unit oil was changed (compression checked). Any ideas as to what would be good to do? I'm sure the lower unit oil could be changed, check plugs... the water pump seems to be working good, don't know about anything else?- change fuel filters, grease parts, etc... Thanks for any advice.

Dave I would change the water/fuel filter, take a look at the plugs, lower end lube. There is a Yama & Merc dealer not to far from the shop

    Re: (SloNitro)

Everyone just make sure they have parts before hand and it should all go smooth..With this many boats it looks like a Sunday would be best

This will also be hands on..Please dont expect to show up and have a few of us running around like nutts doing all your work..Im a firm believer that anyone can do anything if pointed in the right direction..So you will be working on your own boat...But with plenty of help

DISCLAIMER!!! I have never worked on a Yamaha..Have worked on plenty of OMC's and Mercs...But i do have Chopsticks so the Yammies shouldnt be a problem
