'99 300 Promax not Running
So on Saturday we took to boat out and got it in the water. Pumped the ball once turned the key to on and let it prime. Got her in the water, started her up and everything was normal for about 5 seconds and then it died. Turned it over again and this time and all of the next times it wouldn't turn over. Sunday, after dumping the filter, hooked up the water hose and ran it. The motor would idle but the minute i gave it any throttle, she would choke out and die. Don't have a pressure tester for the fuel. What do yall think? Fuel, air, or spark? Reeds maybe? Got an extra new pair. Maybe injectors clogged up? Just don't want to start blindly replacing things that don't need to be replaced. Picking up a new fuel filter just because today but I don't think its the fuel filter. Not getting any odd beeps from the alarm either. Quite a bit of slow smoke coming out of the exhaust when its died as well. Excess oil? Any suggestions would help.
Thanks in advance,
Jake
