If they are not legal in Missouri then I suggest they start sending out tickets to all the Pros........

Now read this.......out of the code book........an alabama rig can be considered a fixed piece of tackle

Pole and Line: Fishing methods using tackle normally held in the hand,
such as a cane pole, casting rod, spinning rod or fly rod, or ice fishing tackle
commonly known as a tip-up, to which not more than 3 hooks with bait or
lures are attached. Does not include snagging, snaring, grabbing, trotlines,
juglines or other tackle normally attached in a fixed position.

OR OTHER TACKLE NORMALLY ATTACHED IN A FIXED POSITION

Now think about this.........a plug has 2 treble hooks.......the word treble meaning 3.

treble--a single eye merged with three shanks and three evenly spaced points. Double hooks are formed from a single piece of wire and may or may not have their shanks brazed together for strength. Treble hooks are formed by adding a single eyeless hook to a double hook and brazing all three shanks together.

So in that case you are looking at 9 hooks on a plug..... So is a plug illegal....NO.....even though it has a total of 9 hooks ... consider this.......its attached in a fixed position using a single eye

A umbrella rig may have 5 or more hooks but is attached by using a single eye just like a plug with several treble hooks

If the Pros can do it and get by with it then why can't the daily fisherman

State of Mo. states only 3 poles per person containing only 3 hooks per pole unless name tags are attached................SO what about the spider rigs..........If the umbrella rig is illegal in Mo. then so should the spyder rigs

Just my 2 cents
