    Jackplate Size

Anyone in here know what the recommended size hydraulic plate is for a 920 with the new mercury 4 stroke pro XS? Wondering if there’s any advantage of running a 12” plate vs. a 10” plate.

Go for a 12". I just went to a 12 on my 721 and picked up a mile or 2 per hour with next to no walk and better handling.

100% go with a 12 on the 920. I don't know why they don't put a 12 on at the factory as it is well documented within multiple threads and on owner's groups how much better overall performance is with a 12". Money, I guess.

Well, I just picked up a 920 Elite with an Atlas 12” on mine that was factory installed. I don’t know how much “better” it is over the 10” plate, but I really like it.

You bought 2-3 mph, better hole shot, and better handling- trust me.

I have only been on Kentucky Lake and Pickwick. Both were rockin' so top speed is ????? I did get a few hours in between the two to break in, but had to stay trimmed down to keep speed lower. Pops up quick and handles better than I imagined. I'm on lock down with work, so no telling when I will get to enjoy it. Love the sound of the 4-stroke.
