    Casting for Cancer results

35 paying boats showed up. The fishing was incredible; lots and
lots of fish were caught! 14 bags over 18 pounds, including seven
over twenty!! 10 fish weighed for big fish over 5 pounds; could
have been more, but as weights increased just didn't need to weigh
five pounders! We were able to raise $2100 for Relay for Life!!!

First Place: Randy Haynes added to his already impressive list with
this tournament on Pickwick Lake. After leading day 1 with 23.42,
he and partner Ed Houston dropped 29.47 on the scales Saturday,
including the tournaments big bass weighing 8.88 pounds. One of
the most impressive performances I have ever witnessed; they
win $1000 for first place and a Southern Motion recliner for lunker.

Second Place: Several other very impressive performances were
overshadowed by the winning team. Nathan Ashmore and Brad Bond
brought in a total of 41.52 over 2 days to take second place and $750.
They reported catching LOADS of fish both days; nothing to feel bad about!

Third Place: Another outstanding day 2 performance pushed Rick and Andy
Houston into the third place position. On Saturday, they weighed in 23.82
including the tournaments 2nd big bass weighing 8.10. They earned $450 for 40.3.

Fourth Place: Matt Ferguson and Craig Grubbs also had two very solid days
of fishing, weighing in 40.13 and taking the fourth place position. Can't feel
bad about averaging 20 for two days; fourth place was worth $250.

Fifth Place: Last years winners had an uphill climb as one partner had to work
on Friday. They rebounded strongly on Saturday with a catch of 22.92 to push
them into the fifth place spot and secure William and Mike Davis $175 for 39.04.

Eleven other teams had over 30 pounds for the two days; well over a three
pound average for two days of fishing. What an awesome lake we have!!
And this was done in two days of extreme wind!!

Special thanks to: Southern Motion, Bass Pro Shops in Memphis, Hammer Rods,
Outback Tackle Shop, Bait Bling Custom Painted lures, and Elite Fishing for
donations for prizes. Please support these sponsors as you have opportunity!
Also Tracy Williams at Performance Marine in Batesville, MS, for getting this
    event Skeeter sanctioned.

Make plans now to attend next years event on Good Friday weekend, 2012.
Lots of fish to be caught, a great time to be had by all, and we get to raise
money for a very worthy cause!!

Thanks again to all who participated in any way!!
