Fished a club tournament yesterday on the Pascagoula. The fish were stacked in the ditches. I caught about 4 limits out of 1 ditch in approximately 1 hours time. It wasn't a fish every cast, but close to every other. Crankbaits were the ticket and it didn't seem to matter what color you threw after you got them stirred up...in fact changes in color every once in a while seemed to spur the bite on more.

In all, I didn't catch any big fish (best 5 went 8 lbs), but I did catch big numbers. If you have any kids that are good with a crankbait...now's a good time to take them fishing as long as the cold weather holds out. Since it was overcast and cold yesterday morning...the bite actually lasted from sun-up to about 9:00 a.m.

I'd say it's a pretty safe bet that you'll find the same all across the Coast right now...not just on the Pascagoula.
