I have yet to meet a man that can out do lightning. It does not matter where you go on a lake., it can and will find you. It proves nothing to fish through it other than you have no sense. Its not worth risking peoples safety.

tournament cancelled....went to a vote and you could tell most of us weren't wild about the idea bc there was not one boat in the water at light even though at the time they were saying it was on. Best decision regardless of what the weather actually does. You can't play with lightning, tornadoes and hail especially the lightning. Know the fish would be ripping it, but 1k ain't worth dying for
not having one this week is going to make me want to fish Firefighters or have a heart or whatever its called now

catch a dream!!! I am glad they cancelled. I didn't give two rips about fishing today. I think a few of em got pizzed. It really didn't mattter if it cancelled or not, We were not gonna fish. We missed the first tourney due to work, and it would be hard to catch up in points anyway, we would have just been fishin for money. Don't get me wrong, I am kinda fond of money, but more fond of breathing. Looks like we may have to eat a little crow, cause it aint got real bad as of yet.

yep looks like it missed us, but there was no way to know what my blow up in La. and head this way, wasn't worth the risk with all the alerts that were out. I like many have been caught in hail and tornadoes on water and it ain't fun

    Re: For real? (jlrskeeter75)

thanks guys for coming up this morning and supporting the trail. It was a hard decision to make with the way that one storm just blew up round 6 this morn. It was not a easy decision but one that we felt had to be made. We very easily could have been like the folks in warren or yazoo counties but we were just fortunate that it did miss the lake. We are not perfect and are gonna make a mistakes but we are not weathermen and seemed like most guys didn't want to risk it. Just keep the folks that did get hit by the storms in your prayers.
On a side note i did get out and fished till round 11.45 and they were biting!
If any of you guys have any questions please fell free to ask either here or you can im me.

    Re: For real? (Whiskey)

Hey whiskey, I think you guys made the best decision you could have, faced with the uncertainty you had. Just a little south and east, that deadly storm couldave been right over the rez. I figured they would be hammering today. We will make it up later in the year. yall have got the best thing going .....BY FAR...... and decisions like this one will keep it going the right way!!!!!!!!! Thanks
