A friend and I went to bay springs and fished on Saturday and Sunday. We only caught 3 fish, it was windy and raining on and off both days. My friend did catch a 7.5lb LM but the fish just did not seem to be biting. When do you think the fishing will pick up on Bay springs? or was that just a bad weekend?? I am going back next weekend and any help would be much appreciated.

May have just been the bad weather. It took 19lbs. last weekend to win. The bite should pick up again with some more warm weather and sun.
there was a tourney there today. 20.69 got first, a little over 19 got second, and a little over 18 got third. there was 19 boats and 12 or 14 boats was over 14 lbs. there was an over 7 lb lunker in it. the mdwfp people were there taking reports to put on there fishing reports part of there website. the guys i talked to said they caught the crap out of them until about 12 and they shut off. we fished pickwick today and caught between 30-34 but only caught maybe 5 after lunch. there was another tourney thta had a 29 lbs sack today too but i can't remember if the guy said it was on pickwick or bay springs.
