campground around traverse city

hey guys, my 2 bros and i are looking for a place to pitch a tent for our base of operations the 3,4 and 5th of july. would be nice if it had a hot shower also.. thanks again..karol

Traverse city state park, beach across the road on east bay. There is a bike/walking trail that takes you to the downtown area. Interlochen state park just south of traverse. Whitewater Township Park on sw end of Elk Lake. I think there is a couple on Lake Leelanau N of traverse - don't remember the names. Hope this helps.

There is alos a huge one just outside the SE corner of the city, but I don't remember the name of it. We looked at it but opted for someplace a little less chaotic.
