Taking my yearly trip to Bankson Lake (near Lawton and Schoolcraft) later this week. I have always just fished Bankson but was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on other lakes in this area to fish for either largemouth or smallmouth. Will be up there for about 10 days. Any open tournament suggestions would be appreciated as well. Thanks in advance
huzzy can be good, cedar is a waste of time. head up to paw paw and hit maple, it can be fun.fyi, we have a tourney there on wed. the 4th, it is not an open though, so you may want to stay away that day, it will get crowded then. not much close as far as good smallie fishing. if you are up for a road trip, take a day and head to st. clair, about 2 1/4 hours from lawton, would be well worth it. oh, in decatur is lake of the woods, great fishing,only about 20 mins from bankson.

You can head down M 40 and fish, Fish Lake and Gravel Lake. The small club that I fish will be having a tournament on Ceder Lake on the 7th of Aug. We take off at 6:00, to enter it's $25 per boat and $10 more for non members. We average about 15 boats. Email if you would like more info. Bob
