I will be coming to Saginaw Bay this weekend and wondered if anyone might be able help me out? I have never fished these waters and wonder how the smallmouth bite has been? Moreover, if any of you could offer up some location and bait suggestions, I would be greatfully thankful.

i found them on the bed Thursday for the first time! They were 4 to 8' and extremly agressive. New experience for me seeing the fish but not seeing the bed, which im guessing is due to the hard bottom. I see how it takes 25lbs to win a tournament this time a year. Best day of smallmouth fishing i have ever encountered. I seen the forecast and took the day off from work and boy was it worth it. Hoping for some more of these calm days.
