    Evinrude 2004 200HP Can't be Fixed????

I have a 2004 Evinrude(model no. E200FPXSRB) with less than 300hrs,was running along about 4000 rpm and motor died and would not start. I tried all of the usual things, filters, fuses, kill switch, etc., motor turned over fine, but would not start. I took it to a certified BRP mechanic , who replaced stater, fuel pump, fuel pump lift and changed plugs to the updated version. Motor ran fine at the repair shop. When I took the motor out on the water, it stared running good , but at 3,000/4,000 RPM, it had a miss, which he later defined as a lean pop! Over 4,000 RPM, it cleared up and ran fine. i took the motor back to the mechanic, who water tested it and had the same problems. He water tested it with computer, dropping one cyclinder at a time and found no problems. To make a long story short, after three weeks, the mechanic discussed/talking with Evrinrude Technician on the phone, did the following:
    Replaced stator two times
Lift pump, pump and resivor, CTS
    Plugs two times
    Checked Vaccum
    Fuel pressure
    Oil Presure
    Check Valve CPS setting
    Return Line
    and Regulator
    Software revision
    Injector numbers
    Temperature readings
    Timing
    Coil numbers
    Resistance
    New injectore coeffecients
    All grounds
    Vibration Damper
    Under TPS
    Changed Prop
    Checked for air leak
Technician says it seems to run better if you richen fuel curve 8 bars. Evrinrude, says a new computer at $1,300 (MAY) fix it or (MAYBE) six new injectors.

I am now up to $2,000 Dollars parts and labor and no repair is successful yet!!! To Add to the situation, I took the boat out today, running about 5,000 RPMS, check engine alarm sounded and the motor shifted to low power mode. I cut the boat off and restarted again. The boat ran as usual, then without warning all gauges quit working. including power trim. It also would not spin the motor after cutting the boat off. This has happened approximately five times since I purchased the boat, it blew a 10 amp fuse on the motor fuse box, I replaced the fuse and tilt trim guages were all working fine again and the motor started. I don't think I missed anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Any help or suggestions will be greatfully appreciated

The blown fuse may be a clue to the overall problem! It would be good to know what code the computer stored when it went into SAFE mode. I would be willing to bet is a voltage related code. To start with I would look at the key switch, wiring harness and start solenoid . The reason I say start solenoid the SAC works off the solenoid.

He may want to check the condition of the reeds worse case it would cost you a new intake manifold gasket set.
