I would consider anything over 50 miles to be a long commute. But with you living in Texas I would think anything over 75 miles would be considered long. I have several relatives that live in small towns but work in Omaha and commute 50 to 75 miles each day. When I was in construction it could be anywhere from a few miles to over 100.

My current commute is 13 miles. Would probably consider anything over 30 a long commute
I worked for an industrial contractor for 18 years and any job site less than two hours away was considered “close”. I averaged about 30k per year on my trucks in that job. My current commute takes ten minutes.

My daily drive is 1 hour too and 1 1/2 home ,depends on what time I leave in the afternoon.
40-60 minutes depending on traffic. Here in the north you also need to account for snow in your commute. Add a little bit, and the commute becomes much much longer.
I walk 1 block to work. For many years I worked away from home, this is a blessing.
15yrs, about 5 miles, often rode my Mt bike Through the woods. Worst was 90 each way, now about 50 ft.
Big difference to me b/n country roads and congested inner-city highways. I-75 sucks in Cincinnati and am sure elsewhere, 45 minutes is no picnic.
That said, just 2-3 more years...
55 miles one way. That’s why I have the electric car
I commute 1 hr to 1hr 10mins. For the last 30yrs. At my job we work alot of 10 to 12 hr days. Sadly with the commute those days become 12 hr and 14 hr days. Guess it's is what you get use to.

Longest was 75 miles.
Shortest .5 miles.

The last company I worked for moved on me and the commute for me went from 17 miles to 28 miles. Being a surveyor though, I worked all over the state of Indiana. Any drive that was 90 minutes or more from the office, we would stay the night. So sometimes my commute would be almost 2 hours. However, I would get paid for 1.5 of that. But you should have heard all the people b!*^# about that extra 15 minute drive after the move.
The best way to cheer yourself up is to cheer up someone else.
I drove 28 miles for years and considered that decent. Anything over 45 minutes would be a long commute to me.
Depending what door I walk to 40 or 60 yards, the wife’s been driving 40-45 miles for 33 years.
Going into DC, long was defined by time, not miles….
Now it’s a long commute if I hit any of the 10 red lights to the lake, or if there is traffic at either stop sign on the way to play golf!
Living next to Boston for the first 47 years of my life, I was within 15 minutes of my work until we moved 26 miles from work. I know 26 miles is not far but it played a role in my decision to retire. The cost of fuel each month was more than the additional income if I stayed.

5-10 min. Convenient though some times I wis I had a 20-30min to decompress after a hard day.
this neck of the woods I think anything over 30-40 min is seen as a long commute for work.
