Cool story. Go complain in BASS's Facebook comments like all the other morons.

so I didn't bash ffs, or BASS, it just isn't interesting to me to watch. They won't miss me. I don't care. I don't watch nascar either. they don't care. Or the NBA or MLB. Not interested in it. some guys play golf, some shoot pool some bowl. I have no interest in that, doesn't make me bash it. If BASS goes the route of FFS every derby then I will tune out. Not bitching just not my thing. There could be some very good young fisherman with or without FFS. We may never know.

its not the FFS, its youtube, the internet and kids that grew up with technology and therefore are able to use it like its second nature spanking the old guard

Since when has fishing become a sport, when 10 million people participate in it every day, It's a hobby just like wood working.

    Tomato...TOmato...thats just a word game.

Now...One more little discussion point on this.....lets break this down from a fundamental standpoint shall we...
Pro's have access to Panoptics in 2017 (the first FFS)
Pro's tell all of us you gotta have this its better then sliced bread.
    We all buy it.
We all use it. Including them pesky kids who were lets say 14-20 at the time.
    Pros continue to promote it.
Kids grow up fish big derbs and find there way into the Game.
Kids begin to win with promoted said device that was promoted by those in the game.
Now those in the game say its bad for the sport. (Now not in 2017, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 or even 23)
You would think that guys with decades of instinct and knowledge of the game would have mastered the use of this before a 14yr old....

Again just how Im breaking it down.

I enjoyed watching them catch giants. I would take that anyday over watching 1LB 14 oz over and over and over in MLF.

If B.A.S.S. wants to continue to allow it because they don’t want to miss out on the sponsor money then that’s up to them. They are a business and they can do what they want.

I’m not a boomer by any means. I’m only 30 years old but I can’t for the life of me figure out how anyone can enjoy watching guys scope all day. I’ve been as big an MLF hater as anyone out there since they started up in 2019 but I’ve found myself enjoying their content much more this year with the live sonar restrictions. NPFL as well.

These young fishermen have been studying bass fishing since they were young kids. They watch YouTube, listen to blogs and do anything else that is available to learn the craft. The older generation like myself just had to spend time on the water and figure things out. It was very time consuming considering we could be on the water maybe 35 to 50 times per year. Today one can learn more about bass fishing watching YouTube in a day than we could learn in a year. These young anglers today are very good at bass fishing even without FFS but some have a hard time accepting that. As a 78 year old bass fisherman I enjoy seeing these young guys do well.

The wildest things about posts like this to me is how many people will reply things they would never in a million years say to someone’s face. Be nice to each other and don’t talk chit because someone doesn’t like the same kind of fishing content or equipment that you do.

I'm still trying to figure out what an angler's age has to do with their ability to catch fish using FFS or not? Weren't all the older guys alive when the technology was released just like the younger crowd was? Wouldn't the older guys have had the ability to be using it just as long as the younger guys have? Wouldn't the older guy's "instincts" and "time on the water" when combined with the new technology outpace the younger crowd?

Some of y'all will use anything as an excuse for not catching them! LOL

I really enjoyed this tournament. Even though most were scoping, there were a lot of different lures used other than jig/minnow. Better than a St Lawrence smallmouth scoping tournament. They need nets for the smallmouth just to speed the process up lol.

I would think most of the older guys, not talking about seniors here, talking about 30+ can learn how to use it they just don't. I assume they do not believe in it ethically? My question is, is FFS and advantge over the fish? We know that all the pros can use FFS so it's not an advantge over other pros. Is it fair chase is the question. I wouldn't know, never used it or seen it live.

I can't for the life of me figure out how watching a guy's back while he stares at a screen is any different from watching a guy's back while he stares at water. We all love big topwater blowups but it's not like that'd be the primary alternative if they weren't using FFS. Most of the time, there isn't really anything to look at.

You might try reading about their background. Many of them like Tucker have fished for 3 yrs in a HS fishing team, 4 yrs on a college team, and maybe one yr on Bass Opens or MLF Toyato series before qualifying for the Elites. 6-7 years fishing high end, large tournaments on National waters. These guys are NOT inexperienced pros.
