    Once you Zip it, take a gallon of boiling water and dump down the drain. You should do that on all. your drains (especially the kitchen) at least once a year. I do twice!

    Hair and crud on the plunger. Take it out and clean Clean the p-trap.

    Mine has been going strong since 1991, no pump outs or problems of any kind. Good luck on yours, sounds like a simple fix.
