I haven't been up to Hardy yet. When zona was in town he mentioned that it has smallies as the main bass catch. Where is a good launch to go to?

I've been told that the Coldwater chain is about 14 miles long, but maybe Mike or somebody else that's fished it can comment. Supposedly it's got some real good fishing.
I'd really rather see us have this at a lake where we can run our boats a little bit. I'm not real keen on lakes that have extensive no-wakes, or hazards.
Gun is a great lake for bass. There are a few areas to avoid while on plane, but those can be pointed out rather easily. As with the others, it gets busy quick on weekends.
Gull, as has been said, can be really tough.
That said, we have (4) lakes carrying a vote of (3) right now, and (7) votes for other lakes. I'll put those (4) lakes up for poll in the next day or two to make a decision.
If we're concerned about boat traffic, we could have it during the week. It eats a little more vacation time, but the lake is pretty quiet! We could fish Thursday (optional if desired) and have the main event Friday, then head home or stay and fish for fun Saturday a.m. Any thoughts on this?

I like the idea of a weekday event as long as the majority of us can still make it![]()

I don't subscribe to threads. PM if you need me.
Wixom or Secord, Sanford and Smallwood are quite dangerous if you dont know where you are,(lots of stumps 8" under the water) and fish very small. I have lived on all but Secord and believe either Wixom or Secord would be best out of the 4.![]()
