Anyone fish this before? I am going this wekend to camp and fish and have no clue about it
fished it probaly 10 years ago.. they were draining the lake while we were there.. caught some nice bass.. seem's like they charged us $7 a day to fish. don't remmber much about it
I only live about an hour from there. I've fished it a few times, and I don't remember having to pay. Be prepared for a lot of cover, grass beds, rip-rap, etc...The good news is, there are plenty of good fish in there. Tie on your best lure and hold on!
Well I went for the weekend. I would advise all of you to stay away for the following reasons:
There is no longer a charge for boating or fishing
There are no jet skis, or skiing alowed
There is a ton ov structure in the lake
THe RV camping pads are awesome
THere weren't many boats on the water
I hooked some good ones.
So, the rest of you stay away so I can have it to myself
And stay away from Okmulgee lake also. It has BETTER fishing than Dripping Springs.
We went to Okmulgee lake on our last trip and did some tubing. I fished for about an hour or so while the kids went swimming. I liked the looks of it.
