If Clemson was in the SEC they would be lucky to make a bowl game !!!!! Just kidding , but this game did show that the SEC in not near as strong as I though .

How so? Did Alabama all of a sudden turn into Vandy or something...? utep? Oregon St? What the hell happened??? I'm curious as to how all of this rambling going on Clemson has surpassed anything that Alabama has ever done, how the SEC is so weak now because for once in the last 12 years Bama was throttled...what I see is finally maybe someone has caught on and figured out how to get there and stay there...Alabama has a little company on mountain top...

here's what you folks are looking at... Alabama was shut down in the red zone...Tua made two terrible reads. 3rd downs killed Alabama both on offense and on defense. That's where Clemson won this game...stat wise this game was even...Clemson took advantage of 3rd downs both offensively and defensively and Bama could respond....and when they got an opportunity to punch it in they took advantage of it...where Alabama could not...plain and simple...

as you know, stats don't win football games. Noone cares if you drive the ball down the field if you cant score. They lost because they couldn't stop Clemson.

Bama was averaging 5 yds a carry for all three running backs. Why not run the damn ball early and control the clock.

Lots of information we don't have so it makes us question the game plan. With all the film breakdown by consultants i was really surprised that Hurts didn't get the call to start this game and with those three running backs, especially number 8 just totally dominate up front with the running game. I believe a whole quarter of that type pounding would have really softened up the front 7 and wore down the safeties by the end of the first half. Like you said they only needed each carry to average 3.5 yards and those 4 guys are well over that number. Clemson did great but my personal thought was Bama dropped the ball on game planning, that is not like Saban.

The offense moved the ball very well.. anytime they wanted just about... except in the red zone....once they they got on the short field, they went wide and that was it..... Clemson stopped them when it mattered on the shallow end and on 3rd down...when it mattered...
