Very impressive! Wonder how it would affect your insurance?

Until you make a claim if you, God forbid, have an incident going fast.

Yep. If there is any reason to look at the motor, and they find out it's been modded like that, don't be surprised when the insurance company refuses to pay the claim. It's a common term in the insurance industry called MMR (Material Misrepresentation)

Just claim actual horsepower if the form asks when you get the policy. I doubt State Farm will renege on my truck policy if I put a performance cam in the motor.

Cam in your truck motor is very different than modding a motor to the point that it exceeds the maximum horsepower for a boat.

Presumably you would run it on a boat rated for that power. It's meant to be a good replacement for the older 225 Promax's and 2.5 280s. Light, high revving 225+ HP.

This was going to be the test boat for the Honda, but we will probably use something different. The Allison will have a modded Mercury 150 Four Stroke.

Sorry Wave, I wasn't suggesting that you would do that. Was responding to someone saying "just don't tell your insurance company".
