200 hp Evinrude HO question

Looking at pros and cons on this engine, any info will be appreciated

Only real con is you are not using it. Strong motors and reliable, a few of them around here and everyone loves them.

What kind of boat is it going on? Any motor brand 200 on any boat rated for or needing a 225 or 250 will not be what you want it to be. If your boat is rated for a 200 then the ETEC 200HO will be your best option hands down.

I have a 2006 Etec 200HO and have had no problems at all. Great hole shot, great speed, its amazing how much easier it is to hear officials at tournament blast offs, lol. So I have nothing bad to say.

What an awesome motor. I went from a '96 merc 115 to an '07 200 HO and was blown away at the lack of NOISE, OIL/GAS CONSUMPTION, and finicky starting procedures!!!!!!!!! GREAT MOTOR. BUY IT AND ENJOY IT!

Bought a 2008 294XL with 200HO last Feb. Had to replace power head with 12 hours on it. Since then I have not had any problems at all. I would buy the same rig again.
