1999 Evinrude Model#E200fcxeen Serial#G04647773 Ran offshore for 2 hrs and trolled for 6 hrs. On the way home I heard a kocking sound, backed off the throttles and shut off both motors. Limped home on one motor. I have 600 hours on the motors and I fixed most usual problems: Blown computers, oil pumps, fuel pumps and regulator rectifier. What tests should I perform to diagnose problem ? Besides major engine malfunction is there any other possible causes for the knocking sound? Lower unit etc. If blown any suggestions on where to get a powerhead or have it rebuilt in NJ.
