    Lake Vote

    See the "elimination thread."
    http://www.bbcboards.net...83540

Alright, let's vote. (Gull Lake is -1 vote, as I had to count it as my vote to add it.)

It depends on when you are going to have the Rally whether it is going to be "overrun with idiots". Hold it early Spring (or late Fall) and there will not be many Mastercrafts and Jet Skis on the lake

I say the Grand River. There is a lot more area to fish and there is a lot of logging in and around Grand Haven. There is a nice launch on 144th street that is perty much in the middle of everything there. Down side is all of the no wake

This is true! I only put the comment in there for fun. There are a lot of boats from Memorial day until after Labor day.

Just an thought......... we could break the rally tradition and hold the main event on a Friday.

    Re: Lake Vote (CGWright)

Why not a 2 day event (Fri/Sat)? That would force people to stay and enjoy themselves
I hope I can make it. I have a ton of crap going on in the Spring with my Department (schools etc).

I still think you should add Gull Lake to the vote above. What a fun lake to fish. Crystal clear and deep as all can be. It was interesting fishing there as it was a new style for me.

I would be down for either Gull or Gun. I think Gull would be a tough lake for most and interesting as well. I really enjoyed it and I believe it is one of KVD's fav lakes.

it never warms up up here so we don't have to deal with it as much.

    Re: Lake Vote (CGWright)

I'd like to add Sanford/Wixom to the poll, and make it my vote.
Its centrally located, so not too far for everyone to travel too.
You can catch fish to you strengths with just about any method - and has both large and small mouth species. It also fishes wel throughout the year unlike some of the lakes mentioned that get tough into mid summer.

If you want to vote it, add it. But it looks to me like we are going to have to take the top 2 or maybe 3 and vote because of the even count.

I'm good for Gun or Gull. Gun has great parking, Gull will take some skill ( It may be parking challenged though - thoughts?)!
