its been a few years since I been on it but at the time I used a black and blue chatter bait thrown up against the standing reeds, the bass will kill it when it hits the water..

It is at its best when the weather is not very good .... The pleasure boats and jet ski's are still on the trailer. There are some nice fish - but overall it is too shallow, and you need an expensive sticker to launch. In good weather - go somewhere else.

Spearing carp, changing impellers, broken props, a ultra high priced sticker, and some of the biggest idiots at a boat launch you will ever see. OH yes: Bring some acid based hull cleaner with you as you will need it.

Trailer over the State line (WI) it's worth it!

I did catch a couple keepers, but Geneva is just plain better. The boat will be heading north on that first Sat in May.

Yup it sucks. There are some nice fish in there though. You just have to know where to go. I've had good and bad days out there.

I have fished the Chain for 35 years but not in the last 5. seems that all the dnr is interested in is musky and walleye. I hear they raised the permits to 80.00? just so you can be knocked off the water by 9a.m. by all the a-holes. they can shove it.
