Legend boats are and will still be in business

This came up on another forum that they were being closed down completely. The horses mouth came on that forum and said they they will be building Tritons and Legends in the facility. They have temporarily halted production to expand the facility for extra paint booths.

Thought some of you guys might like to know that, seems to be a decent following here.

Grout, I don't follow the ins and outs of the fishing industry like most of you around here, but isn't Triton still under the umbrella with Ranger and another brand or two? If they are still owned by the same company, why is Triton being built with Legends? Inform me please as I own a Triton. Thanks

This is interesting news. Wonder why that guy on the TFF was told by Legend that would not be able to build his boat for him. Would have made more sense to just delay the build. Weird

They moved Triton from the Flippin Ranger factory to the Midway Legend factory (about 30 minutes away). 1. It opened up room for Ranger in their plant 2. Legend's facility was larger than they needed so they move Triton there to optimize capacity.

Why does a fiberglass boat company need paint booths?

How do you think they get a color different than white? First thing they do is apply paint, as I understand the process.

It’s all on the link that I posted, the dealership that had the order screwed up and gave the buyer wrong information.

My buddy has a Legend on order...expected end of March. It's his 3rd Legend...the other two were amongst the best looking around here. The ride is also unmatched, especially in a 3 foot chop.

"Still building Legends one at a time"...lol

Seeing that red mold brings back memories. In 1972, I started as a flunky building molds by slashing a popular bass boat. Then went to the production line, then the glass repair spot then was offered a position as the production foreman at another plant. DO not miss the "itch" that goes with the business.

BTW I own a Legend and they are well built.
