Classic on Hartwell in Feb. Predictions?

I think that it is great that the classic is going to be so close to us but Hartwell could be very tough that time of year. I think they would be lucky if they can get water temps in the low to mid 50's that time of the year and if its really cold there could be a new all time low weight for the classic. What do you think?

I would guess an 18 lb average.
I don't know where we are, but we are making darn good time.

Low to mid 50's depending on Janurary. Spoon will work and so will the D/S but that ain't the double secret bait that time of year. I'm off that week and I'll be chasing the somebodys. . Doubt if I make the 80 mile round trip from the house to Weigh-in everyday.

New rule, they use their own rig for the entire competition this coming year. I'm not sure if that applies in the Classic. They will be out in the trees in deep water in big schools in Feb. You can catch them on a pig&jig around docks but I don't think you could live off of that bite the entire time. I say about a twenty pound average. If I didn't know the lake, I'd definitely get in contact with Buster Green. He collects alot of cash on Hartwell.

Think the Classic is still "You fish in OUR boat", but that's a good deal for the rest of the year.

thats why i hate the classic being here - its gonna bring every swingin dick for 300miles (like there aint enough traffic on hurtwell already). them pros can figure it out but there arent many that can turn in those kind of weights that time of year.
man, i hope its cold as a witches titty when they get here!!
