1981 Johnson 9.9 not peeing

Although it's not a 250hp or on the back of a true bass boat, I thought someone might be able to help.

My 1981 Johnson 9.9 on the back of my jon boat isn't peeing. I haven't used it much this year, so I decided to hook it up to the hose and the muff to run it. It started up pretty quick, but I noticed it wasn't peeing much, just dripping. After a short time the drips got very hot. The last time it was run on the hose like this it ran fine, with plenty of pressure in the pee stream.

Anybody have any idea of what I can check? Advice would be much aprpeciated!
