East Lake Toho (the fish camp)

.....let's talk about ramp fees.... $8.00??????? I know that there bread and butter is that dam boggy creek airboat ride, but I can remember when it was 1 dollar for a boat launch, then $3, then $5, now $8. This is all with in about 12 +/- years.

Am I crazy for thinking this, or just getting old.

There's a free city ramp on the south end of the lake.

(for the people at the Mini-bux on Friday)....my partner and I won a 65 boater yesterday on East Lake....we had 25.15lbs.

    p.s. Mike, I need a HAT!!!

Must have a good partner. Congrats Dell, that's a good bag of fish.

Congrats Dell! They are taking advantage of all the tournaments that launch there. If we want to talk about $1.00 launch fees, I can remember when launch was free when the fish camp was named "Bradley's and then Patricks". When those guys managed the fish camp the place was very friendly and when Don Bell bought the land and camp it gradually got unfriendly. Eight dollars is a lot of money to launch your boat and park your ride. I just wish they had left Maxies fish camp available.

sadly, its probably not the only good ol fish camp thats holding on by the skin of its teeth... my club used to fish out of the public ramp on the south end and stay in st cloud..but its just too risky to keep a boat down there now imo....any other good ( secure ) places to stay and fish east lake ? I miss that lake.....
